Running initial workshops, broadly sizing and scoping work, and identifying risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities. We look at the people and facilities requirements (and often provide short term accommodation in our offices in Wimbledon).
We find this a very key area. We ascertain the client governance structures (both business and technical) and dovetail a project or programme governance to match. As with the structure this can often start with an interim model and necessitate a transition to a more robust and permanent one.
We work with stakeholders using the outputs of workshops to build a short and long term team structure to support the objectives of a project or programme. This will often mean supporting in-house teams on a full or part time, short or longer term basis. This will often include a plan to transition from an interim to a permanent structure. Icon regularly assists in internal and external recruitment as required.
A reporting process is a valuable part of communication and very important during the initial stages of a project or programme. People need to understand what is being planned and achieved on a regular basis to ensure a credibility and trust is built with stakeholders and teams at a working level.
