The client: A tier 1 Retail and Investment Bank
The challenge: Re-platform the bank’s global custody tax reclaim service from a third-party vendor product and migrate onto an in-house bespoke tax-processing suite. This move enables real-time interfacing with the bank’s client tax documentation storage and tax profiling systems. It also enables a higher level of process automation through a customisable rule based process engine.
Our involvement: Our team reviewed the existing reclaim process to identify opportunities for greater automation. This was captured as part of a full business and functional requirements analysis phase. The team then proposed a suitable systems architecture before developing conceptual and detailed designs, implementation and testing of the end solution.
The results: The new system is more flexible and allows for greater automation. We transformed the reclaim operations capability within the bank which has streamlined the tax reclaim process; allowing the business to achieve significant operational savings and a higher level of client service.
